What You’ll Learn in the Orientation:

  1. Studio Layout and Navigation
    • We’ll walk you through the entire studio—control room, live room, and vocal booth—so you know exactly how to navigate the space. You’ll understand the flow of the studio, where everything is located, and how to set up quickly and efficiently when you come in for your freelance sessions.
    • You’ll get a code for the studio’s door system ensuring you access during your sessions.
  2. Gear Overview
    • During the orientation, we’ll cover all the equipment available to you. From our premium microphones and outboard gear to the monitors, we’ll show you how everything works and how to integrate your own gear if needed. We’ll also explain how the signal flow operates so you can set up independently without any hassle.
    • We’ll go over the basics of patchbay layout and how to connect various pieces of gear together. We want to ensure you are comfortable and able to route and reroute whatever gear you desire for your workflow!
  3. Session Templates and Workflow Tips
    • To help you work efficiently, we’ll introduce you to session templates and show you how to use them. This will help you streamline your workflow, saving you time during your recording sessions.
    • We’ll offer some insider tips on how to manage different types of sessions, whether you’re working with a band, a solo artist, or simply producing beats.
  4. Using Studio Automation
    • One of the unique aspects of our studio is our automation system. We’ll guide you through how to control lighting, HVAC, and other features that help create the perfect atmosphere for your sessions.
  5. Studio Policies and Best Practices
    • We want to ensure you have everything you need to succeed. The orientation will cover essential studio policies such as extending sessions, smoking policies, and how to use the space for a wide range of creative projects. Whether you’re recording music, shooting a video, or just need a creative space, we’ll show you how to make the most of your time here.
  6. Troubleshooting and Support
    • You’ll leave the session knowing how to troubleshoot common issues like signal flow problems or activating phantom power.
    • We’ll also provide guidance on who to contact for more complex issues, ensuring that you never feel stuck when working on a project in the studio.
  7. What’s Included in Your Freelance Session
    • We’ll clarify exactly what’s included when you book a Freelance session. From full access to the gear, to bringing your own equipment and setting it up, we’ll make sure you understand how to utilize the studio to its fullest.
