Suburban Pro Studios is a full service recording studio near you in St. Louis, owned and operated by Matthew Sawicki and Carter McKee. Located in the heart of South Saint Louis City just two blocks from the Cherokee Street Art District. Our facility offers two full services studios with a wide range of gear to complete any project. Originally founded in Florissant, Missouri in 2006, the studio moved to the city of St. Louis in 2015.
This STL recording studio has 2 fully equipped studios, with two tracking rooms, 2 isolation rooms, and a world class blend of state of the art and vintage gear. Our dedicated staff of Engineers offer recording, mixing, mastering, post-production, podcasting, transfers, mobile recording and generally anything to do with recording! With our great selection of instruments and amplifiers, you’ll never be lacking for inspiration in the studio. We’ve stocked our computers with great production tools from Native Instruments, Waves, McDSP, MeldaProduction and more so that your recording can be represented exactly as you have envisioned it. Recording Studios
Downstairs Studio – Recording/Mixing/Mastering
Suburban Pro Studios Downstairs is a state-of-the-art music and post production studio with a large control room and a live tracking room. Equipped with a Pro Tools HD system, PMC and Yamaha monitors, RME converters and a multitude of new and vintage outboard gear, as well as a 110″ retractable projection screen, the Downstairs studio is suitable for any session.
Designed for tracking and mixing, our Downstairs studio is great for any type of audio work.
Upstairs Studio – Recording/Mixing/Mastering
The Upstairs studio at Suburban Pro consists of three rooms that cater to podcasting, production and writing teams, and is also perfect for sessions that require more of a lounge-type control room.
Our isolated vocal booth provides the perfect space for singer songwriters, guitar isolation, and vocalists! Need to overdub some new tracks onto your record? Not a problem in our upstairs studio!
Upstairs Live Room – Podcasting Studio
The newest addition to Suburban Pro’s facilities, our upstairs live room is a production studio perfect for writing sessions, podcasting, and vocal tracking. Our podcasting room provides a comfortable and eclectic vibe, wood paneled walls, and isolation from the outside world.

Matthew Sawicki is an experienced audio engineer and the co-owner of Suburban Pro Studios. He is known throughout the Saint Louis music scene by many aliases, but one fact remains constant and indisputable: he knows his craft. With over 17 years of experience in the industry, he has developed a reputation for his technical expertise and ability to produce high-quality audio recordings. He specializes in recording, mixing, and mastering for a variety of genres, including hip-hop, rap, R&B, and pop.
Matthew’s technical skills are evident in his proficiency with professional audio software such as Pro Tools and Serato. He has a deep understanding of these tools and is able to use them to create recordings that are polished and emotionally impactful.
He has an impressive track record of working with notable artists, including Nelly, Chingy, Lil Boosie, Webbie, and Tef Poe. He also has a double platinum record under his belt for Huey’s “Pop, Lock, and Drop It” at the young age of 23. He has been cranking out quality records for the past two decades.
In addition to his technical skills and production experience, Matthew has a deep passion for music. He has a particular interest in soul, funk, and afrobeat, and this passion is evident in the way he approaches his work. He is able to bring a unique perspective to each project, resulting in recordings that are both polished and emotionally impactful.
Matthew’s passion for music is also reflected in his interest in collecting vinyl records. He has a vast collection of classic albums and is always on the lookout for new and interesting pieces to add to his collection.
Spending most of his nights as a DJ and host of the local monthly beat battle “Fresh Produce” allows him to bring a unique perspective to the production process, as he understands the importance of creating music that is not only technically proficient but also has the ability to move and engage audiences.
Matthew is a true music lover, and this passion is evident in every aspect of his work. From his technical skills to his production experience, and from his passion for collecting vinyl to his experience as a DJ and host of “Fresh Produce”, Matthew is a skilled professional who delivers high-quality audio to his clients, not just in Saint Louis but also all over the music scene.

Carter McKee is a talented audio engineer and co-owner of Suburban Pro Studios, located in the heart of St. Louis, Missouri. With over 15 years of experience in the recording industry, Carter has worked with a variety of artists and genres, including Sony BMG and Jive, as well as with local St. Louis rock group The Mhurs.
Carter’s passion for music and his technical expertise are evident in every project he works on. His years of experience recording bands has given him an ear for capturing the perfect sound, and his ability to work quickly and efficiently ensures that deadlines are always met. He has worked with notable artists such as Huey’s the Camp Boyz, Family Affair, and The Force, and his credits speak for themselves.
In addition to his skills as an audio engineer, Carter is also a talented guitarist and member of The Mhurs. Eric Farlow, also known as Farout, is a talented audio engineer at Suburban Pro Studios. Eric began self-engineering at just 16 years old and has since become an invaluable member of the team. He has recorded ten albums of his own and has worked with numerous artists in a variety of genres, including rap, pop, punk, and R&B.
